Challenge accepted. In the Spring Fling Writing Contest, you are challenged to write a Spring themed story based on a gif, 150-word count. Yikes!
Since I 'm indecisive at times, I took forever to find a gif I liked. I've entered this contest before, and I always enjoyed participating. Congratulations to all the participants. Thank you, Kaitlyn Sanchez and Ciara O'Neal, for organizing such a fun contest and thank you to our amazing judges:

Spring Has Sprung
By Thelia Hutchinson
150 words
They say the early bird gets the worm, but that worm had foiled him too many times.
Bird needed to beat him to the punch.
So, he hatched a very sneaky plan.
“Tee hee!” Bird chuckled.
That worm will never know what hit him, he thought.
This will be the best Spring ever.
Bird flipped through his “How to Trap a Worm book” for more tips.
Then, he put up a sign, “All worms welcome”.
He scanned the area, to make sure everything was in place.
“Looking for me,” giggled Worm as he wiggled next to bird.
“What are you doing…?” Bird yelped as he stumbled backwards.
BOING!
“Hereeeeeee!”
“I guess Spring has sprung!” laughed Worm.
SPLAT!
“Ouch, that hurt!” whimpered Bird. “I’m done. Truce?”
“Truce,” smiled Worm.
“Lemonade, my friend?” Bird chirped as he handed Worm a glass.
“Sure, I love lemonade.” Worm beamed as he took a sip.
So cute!
This story is adorable, Thelia! Good luck in the contest!!
